Cleveland, OH (May 10, 2005) ka is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Johnson to its team as a senior designer/project manager.
In this role, Johnson will assume client contact and manage projects throughout the schematic design and design development phases. He will also manage design quality and direction within the corporate interior studio. In addition to his design responsibilities, Johnson will be key in supporting ka's strategic marketing plan. He will also work alongside the marketing staff on the corporate strategic plan, mission, and value.
"With more than 19 years of experience in the design field, I have the ability, along with an in-depth knowledge of systems furniture and trends in office innovation, to provide our clients with exceptional environments that are both creative and practical," says Johnson.
Prior to joining ka, Johnson worked at Cleveland-area design firms including Oliver Design Group, The Arris Group, and Van Dijk, Johnson & Partners. While working at these firms, his responsibilities included programming, design, construction documents, and construction management for many corporate interior projects.
Prior to launching his career, Johnson earned a bachelor's of environmental design from the school of architecture at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. In addition to being LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certified, Johnson's career is complemented by his memberships, which include the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Cleveland Museum of Art, and Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
